Three teams to compete for prize money and trophy wearing official jerseys made especially for the occasion

'It's hoped that this will become an annual tradition'
- Ken Shakoor, event organiser for MHVCC

The inaugural Seema Atri Memorial Cricket Cup will take place at our Burtonhole Lane home on Sunday, August 4.

Seema Atri is the late wife of Abhi Atri (pictured above), the founder/director of Ava Waves Juries Ltd, one of the leading providers of legal services in north and east London and Mill Hill Village’s official front-of-shirt sponsor for 2024.

On the day, three teams made up of Mill Hill Village Cricket Club members will compete for the Seema Memorial Cup and prize money in a mixture of T10 (group stage) and T20 (the final) formats. Official jerseys - with players’ names on the back - and caps will be provided and catering will be on-site to provide food and drink on the day for players, all courtesy of Ava Waves Juries Ltd.

Seema has been described by those who knew her as a “true inspiration.”

Ken Shakoor, Mill Hill Village 3rd XI captain and one of the organisers of the event, said: “Players will have the chance to earn medals and various prizes, recognizing their skill! These awards will not only serve as tokens of achievement but also as cherished mementos of a historic occasion that marks the beginning of what is hoped to be an annual tradition at the Mill Hill Village Cricket Club.”

All players and supporters of the club are invited to what should be a very special day.
