Who is Mill Hill Village Cricket Club’s best batter of 2024? Going by the stats, that honour this year goes to Dinesh Johnson, pictured above.

The belligerent top-order batsman, who usually comes in at number three for the 2nd XI and also keeps wicket, passed 300 league runs in a season for the third year running, according to Play-Cricket.

In addition, Mill Hill Village Cricket Club can now reveal the top 10 batsmen for each of our four adult Saturday league sides, from the 1st XI to the 4th X, thanks to finance director James Thompson's efforts in crunching this season’s league statistics - see the attachment below.

Johnson scored more league runs than any other Village batter this season, although 3rd XI opener Phil Smith ran him close, with 360 league runs. First XI all-rounder Sam Smith was third-highest top scorer with 294 runs in the league. Here's the Village top 10:
