Like all clubs playing recreational sport, Mill Hill Village Sports Club, comprised of football and cricket sections, is powered by its volunteers.
If you have a few hours to spare a month and an interest in learning new skills or hone existing ones, the club wants to hear from you. Below is a complete list of roles.
A plea for support from our Director of Cricket
Training, where necessary, can be provided. In return, you get to give back to the community and support a 150-year-old charity dedicated to encouraging as many local people as possible to make friends and keep active by playing cricket and football.
Annual subs, currently set at £300 for 2025, are set to rise in 2026 but the club is pleased to offer a £50 discount for members who contribute their time through volunteer work during the forthcoming season.

Director of Cricket Phil Smith said: “Mill Hill Village Cricket Club is an organisation run almost exclusively by volunteers. No one gets paid to play, coach, undertake committee work or carry out ground maintenance work. We rely on our dedicated members' goodwill, skills and services. We outsource the specialist care and management of our sports pitches and some clubhouse cleaning, but most activities are kept in-house and many volunteer hours are undertaken. This is why we always seek to lighten the load a little and spread the volunteering burden around as many people as possible.”
