Mill Hill Village Football Club has a long history, spanning over 50 years. At its peak, the club operated seven teams on Saturdays. Currently, the club fields two senior teams for Saturday afternoon matches.
In 2024, the 1st XI secured promotion to Senior North 1 of the Amateur Football Combination, the team’s ninth promotion in 11 seasons.
Promotion was confirmed in summer 2024 after a recent league restructuring, marking a significant achievement in the club’s steady rise over the past decade.
The promotion from Senior North 2 puts the 1st XI just one division away from the Premier League within the Amateur Football Combination.
The club prides itself on fostering a welcoming environment and boasts a history of success, which has encouraged many new members to join in recent years. Pre-season training takes place on Monday nights at the club.
Membership costs are £90 annually, with an additional £10 fee per match. Those interested in joining or seeking more information can contact Mill Hill Village Sports Club Chairman Sam Smith via email at samsmith194@hotmail.co.uk.
Off the field, the club hosts a variety of social events. The clubhouse bar is a popular post-match gathering spot on Saturday evenings, and throughout the year, the club organizes activities such as curry nights and golf days. In addition, there's a Christmas party held every year in early December and a 7-a-side tournament held towards the end of each season in spring.
